He accomplished many tasks at the head of UN missions with the European Union in Chad from 2011 to 2013, then with the Netherlands Cooperation Agency in Libya to manage a project to support local governance, decentralization and the establishment of social peace between 2014 and 2015. And as an expert and head of a United Nations mission in the Congo to carry out a study on the managerial design of land development and land uses. And as an expert in supporting capabilities in the field of sustainable urban planning, managing major urban projects, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and local development plans, in addition to preparing the procedural guide for municipal work in the field of governance and management of public projects for urban development, within the framework of supporting major municipalities in Madagascar within AFD Program 2018-2022.

He also has experience in local public finances, developing strategies for developing local resources, participatory budgeting, activating citizen participation, and municipal development plans in Mauritania, Cameroon, and Tunisia, with many programs affiliated with the European Union, the German Cooperation, and others. He also has extensive experience in supporting employment programs and adapting vocational training systems to the requirements of the labor market in Tunisia, Mauritania and Niger. Mr. Maher bin Mohammed bin Abdullah is the founder of URBADEV for technical consulting in the field of reconstruction, development and continuous training since 2014.
